Nintendo's E3 conference announced a slew of new games, all for the Switch. Big announcements included a new Mario Party title, a release date for Smash Bros Ultimate, a new Fire Emblem title, a porting of Fortnite, and more. 


Super Smash Bros Ultimate will feature every fighter ever on the roster of a Smash game.

Nintendo's Lineup as announced at E3:

  • Sushi Striker: Available now on the Switch. A colorful puzzle game where you battle your way through opponents and the story with sushi-making skills.

  • Paladins: Available now on the Switch. A multiplayer third-person shooter game where players can control a variety of characters called "Champions" to fight in teams against one another.

  • Fifa 2018: Available now on the Switch. The current installment in the long-running soccer game where players can form teams and compete with their favourite footballers.

  • Fortnite: Available as of 10 AM Pacific time 6/12/18 on the Switch. A wildly popular co-op sandbox survival game where players have to work together in real time to build defenses, collect resources, and fight waves of enemies to survive.

  • Hollow Knight + DLC: Available as a download as of today 6/12/18 on the Switch. A beautifully atmospheric hand-drawn Metroidvania game following the adventures of a small knight as he explores a forgotten bug kingdom. 

  • Fallout Shelter: Available tonight, 6/12/18 on the Switch. Players can create their own base layout and manage their community while making sure their inhabitants stay alive in the radioactive wastes of the Fallout series. 

  • Minecraft: Switch Edition: Coming June 21, 2018 to the Switch. The enduringly popular sandbox survival game where players can build anything they desire or work to survive the harsh wilds. 

  • Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle - Donkey Kong DLC: Coming June 26, 2018 to the Switch. The expansion DLC will feature Donkey Kong. A turn-based tactical roleplaying game where Mario and his friends fight off a swarm of chaotic Rabbids who have invaded the Mushroom kingdom. 

  • Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus: Coming June 29, 2018 to the Switch. An action-adventure first-person shooter set in a world where Nazis have taken over America and players must fight their regime.

  • Crash N. Sane Trilogy: Coming June 29, 2018 to the Switch. A remastered collection of the first three classic platformer Crash Bandicoot games, originally released on the first Playstation.

  • Mario Tennis Aces: Coming June 2018 to the Switch. A new installment into the Mario Tennis franchise which will bring new features such as a story based "Adventure Mode," a "simple rules" mode, and a Wii Sports-like "Swing Mode."

  • Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker: Coming July 13 to the Switch. An action/puzzle game that spins off of the minigames featured in the Mario Party franchise. Play as Toad as you travel across the world and rescue Toadette.

  • Overcooked 2: Coming August 7, 2018 to the Switch. An indie game where players compete against each other or cooperate to make recipes under tight time constraints. 

  • Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate: Coming August 28 to the Switch. The game features highly customization battle and the ability to play with others online or locally.

  • Dark Souls Remastered: Coming Summer 2018 to the Switch. The classic dark epic fantasy game that pushes players to the limit with challenging combat. This version includes DLC.

  • Splatoon 2- Octo Expansion: Coming Summer 2018 to the Switch. The expansion will allow players to create a child character ("octolings") and explore a single-player campaign for the first time. 

  • Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country: Coming September 14, 2018 to the Switch. This is an expansion DLC pack to Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The DLC will introduce several features including a New Game Plus mode. 

  • Fifa 2019: Coming September 28, 2018 to the Switch. The next installment in the long-running soccer game where players can form teams and compete with their favourite footballers.

  • SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy: Coming September 28, 2018. The game will be a 2D, 2v2 tag-team fighting game where each team contains an "attacker" and "supporter" who need to work together to defeat their opponent. 

  • Mega Man 11: Coming October 2, 2018 to the Switch. The game is the next installment in the Mega Man franchise, where players control the titular character in an action-adventure platforming world as he fights to stop an evil scientist from destroying the world. 

  • Super Mario PartyComing October 5, 2018 to the Switch. The latest installment in the Mario Party franchise will be able to connect to two Switches for cross-system gaming. 

  • Starlink: Battle for Atlas: Coming October 16, 2018 to the Switch. An action-adventure game where players will venture across the Atlus star system, meet alien races, and form alliances to build crews to pilot further.

  • Just Dance 2019: Coming October 23, 2018 to the Switch. The next installment in a rhythm/dance based game where players dance to current and classic popular songs. It can be played single- or multi-player.

  • Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu + Let's Go Eevee: Coming November 16, 2018 to the Switch. Players will be able to import Pokemon from Pokemon Go. The new Pokeball Plus accessory will feature an analog stick and buttons, and can be used as a controller. The game will be sold with an optional $100 bundle that includes the Pokeball Plus and Mew. Players will be able to battle with a friend on a single console.

  • The World Ends With You: Coming Fall 2018 to the Switch. An urban fantasy action roleplaying game set in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan where characters are forced to play a Game that will determine their fates.

  • Arena of Valor: Coming Fall 2018 to the Switch. A wildly popular 5v5 multiplayer online battle arena game.

  • Pixark: Coming Fall 2018 to the Switch. The game is an open-world sandbox survival game where players can reshape a harsh world to their desires. 

  • Wasteland 2: Coming Fall 2018 to the Switch. A post-apocalyptic roleplaying game where players unravel a mystery while surviving in the desolation of post-nuclear war America. 

  • Ark: Survival Evolved: Coming Fall 2018. A prehistoric survival game with more than 100 prehistoric and fantastical creatures where players can hunt and tame dinosaurs. 

  • Super Smash Bros Ultimate: Coming December 7, 2018 to the Switch. This highly anticipated installment of the popular fighting game will feature every fighter ever from the series. 

  • Carcassonne: Coming "this holiday" (end of the year) 2018 to the Switch. A strategy-based digital board game. 

  • Dragon Ball FighterZ: Coming 2018 to the Switch. A fighting game featuring all the iconic characters from the popular shonen Dragon Ball Z. 

  • Killer Queen Black: Coming 2018 to the Switch. A 2-4 player indie arcade style game with improved art and 2D action.

  • Ninjala: Coming Spring 2019 to the Switch. A new PvP action game where players face off using "Ninja Gum."

  • Fire Emblem: Three Houses: Coming Spring 2019 to the Switch. The next and highly anticipated installment in Nintendo's top-down strategy game, with gameplay that features enhanced graphics closer to character portraits. 

  • Daemon X Machina: Coming 2019 to the Switch. This flying-mech game will be developed by the producers of the Armored Core series. 


So far no word on the release date or concept for a new Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, or the upcoming Pokemon Switch title. What franchises or games do you wish they had announced? Which titles would you most want to see ported to the Switch? Let us know in the comments!
